Volunteers to help the self-isolated in Cockley Cley

Good morning. There a several great suggestions coming in on how we can help those in need or worried in Cockley Cley about the current virus crisis, particularly the elderly. Mike Nairn is our district Councillor and I have found his facebook page and he may now appear here as a friend. He wants to help.

Gooderstone have an initiative going already. I will circulate the email about it which has been received by Karina.
Anyone got any ideas as to how we can come up with a plan for the coming months? Identify those who need help, transport and provisions.

Litter Picking 10.00 on Sunday 15th March 2020.

At the Cockley Cley Parish Council meeting on 8th January 2020 it was agreed that roadside litter has got very bad again and needs picking before the grass starts growing.

Therefore, on Sunday 15th March 2020, volunteers will be asked to assemble on the Village Green at 10.00 am to walk up and down the roads into and out of the village to pick litter.  A trailer will be provided, plus strong bin bags. Hi Viz jackets should be used and grabs will be made available.
